Seeley competed against 11 other designers from across the nation during a three month long ‘designer boot camp’ that included bi-weekly classes and homework assignments. The Phoenix Fashion Week team focused on helping the 12 brands expand their businesses through their network of buyers, social media, technical building blocks, as well as strategic fashion events including runways and trunk shows.
“From the first time we met Bri back in February at a trade show, I knew she had hi-quality designs and a unique brand with a razor sharp focused goal of succeeding in this very tough industry. That is the kind of designer that we searched the nation for,” said Brian Hill, Executive Director of Phoenix Fashion Week
Seeley showed her Spring/Summer 2013 collection ‘Escape’ on the runway Saturday night. The crowd was in awe of the colors, patterns, silhouettes, and movement of the garments. Following the runway presentations, all 12 designers were called to the stage where it was announced that based on the homework scores a three way tie had occurred. Seeley shared the stage with Los Angeles based JHaus and Scottsdale based OfraStyle momentarily before Seeley was awarded the top honors. The winning package includes $10,000 worth of prizes to help further launch Seeley’s brand nationally.
Seeley returns to Washington for a brief period of time prior to leaving for Los Angeles to show the ‘Escape’ collection at Style Fashion Week on 10/18/2012. There is talk of Seeley showing her collection in Seattle in the month of November.
